Brezza has been one of the best selling car for Maruti Suzuki and it deserves to be as it offers a blend of powerful engine (compared to rivals) with good safety and a great ground clearance. Brezza is only car from maruti on sale which has scored a 4 star safety out of 5. Body panels of Brezza are also quite strong with doors offering proper thud. We have curated some advantages and disadvantages from our personal long term experience.
Advantages –
1) Smooth and reliable engine – Engine of Brezza is next level refined there are next to zero vibrations inside the cabin. Cabin remains soo silent that you cant even notice if the engine is turned on or not. Suzuki and reliability are synonymous. Suzuki makes one of the best and most reliable petrol engines in the world.
2) Safety rating and build quality – You feel safe inside it as it’s a 4 star rated safe car with heavy body panels.
3) Performance and mileage – 1.5 naturally aspirated engine offered on Brezza has really good low end torque. Car could be easily driven at lower speeds and highers gears without any vibrations and jerks, this makes driving this car in traffic really easy. Mileage on this one is great considering 1.5 liter displacement and 4 cylinder engine. We are easily able to extract a mileage of 16 in moderate city traffic and 20+ out on highways.
4) Better engine from the competition – The competition usually offers 1.2 liters engine in this same segment while the Brezza offers 1.5 which is much better in terms of drivability and power.
5) Great ground clearance – With 200mm of ground clearance available, you can easily take Brezza out on bad patches of roads.
6) Driving posture and bonnet view – From the driving seat entire bonnet is visible and you also get a great view of road ahead. You sit at a very commanding position and Brezza provides a proper SUV feel.
Disadvantages – Can’t think of much apart from breaks not very strong on this car and service centres trying to charge double of what should ideally be charged by adding unnecessary work to the total bill.
Conclusion – Brezza is a no nonsense car. If you’re planning to buy one, dont think about it much and get one
